Per Stoele

Per Stole has been engaged in Norwegian-Russian business relations since the beginning of the 1990s, holding leading positions in Norwegian companies dealing with Russia. In 1992 he was appointed a member of the Board of the newly established Osthandelssenteret i Kirkenes, which activities were aimed at developing business cooperation between the Norwegian and Russian part of the Barents region. The company was later acquired by SIVA and later on Per Stole was apponited Deputy CEO of SIVA,  in charge of international development of SIVA until 2008. Both then and today SIVA has is playing an important role regarding facilitating establishment of Norwegian SME in North West Russia. Presently, Per Stole is Chairman of SIVA International Management, with cooperation with Russia as its core activity, with special focus on North West Russia. Stole is also Chairman of Technopark Nor AS, an industrial park in Murmansk owned by SIVA and Innovation Norway. Stole was awarded NRCC honorary membership in December 2011.

 

Rolf Baltzersen

Rolf Batlzersen joined the Norwegian Foreign Service in 1972 after having studied Russian language, included Master Studies. After having held several important positions in Brussels, Hague and New Dehli, Baltzersen was appointed Minister Counselor at the Norwegian Embassy in Moscow in the late 1980s. In 1992 Baltzersen was appointed Director of the newly established Secretariat for Eastern Europe in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway. In this role, Baltzersen had a challenging task of initiating projects, developing strategies and producing content for an emerging regional cooperation in the Barents Region. Thanks to the activities of the Secretariat many Norwegians got aquianted with the Russian Federation for the first time. After stepping down as Director of the Secretariat in 1996, Baltzersen served on several positions in the Foreign Service. Baltzersen was awarded NRCC honorary membership in December 2011.
