The conference “Cross-border cooperation: the Russian Federation, the European Union and Norway” is organized by: Ministry for Regional Development of the Russian Federation, Office of the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation to the North-West Federal District, Government of the Saint Petersburg, North-West Development and Investment Promotion Agency. The Conference is organized under the auspices of: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Government of the Leningrad Oblast, Delegation of the European Union to Russia, Nordic Council of Ministers, Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Russia. Among key-topics of the conference in 2010 are:
- Cross-border cooperation of the North-West Federal District. Focus on Saint-Petersburg.
- Common planning for cross-border territory.
- Cross-border cooperation and investments.
- Transport and logistics.
- Project management in frames of European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument 2007-2013.
Besides the focus on Saint Petersburg, the special attention will be paid to transport and logistics in cross-border regions. The plenary sessions and round tables of III Annual Conference “Trilogy” (Transport. Investments. Logistics), which should be treated in 2010 as a part of VI Annual International Conference: “Cross-border cooperation: the Russian Federation, the European Union and Norway”, will be devoted to the issues of logistics industry development. In 2010 the united Conference is observed as a major element of the congress-events cycle “European week Cross-Border Circle: Finland-Russia-Estonia”, devoted to cooperation between Russia and EU.

As from March 2010, the NRCC Member Company High North Center for Business and Governance in cooperation with NUPI and Moscow Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) is launching a new Executive MBA
This unique Executive MBA programme combines a traditional business education with unmatched insight into Russian culture and the particularities of the High North.
The programme is developed by the High North Centre for Business (NOS) at Bodo Graduate School of Business (Bodo, Norway), in cooperation with Norwegian Institute of International Affairs - NUPI (Oslo, Norway) and Moscow State Institute of International Relations, the MGIMO University (Moscow, Russia).
The programme is organized in seminars taking place in Russia and Norway. The goal is to give students an opportunity to achieve understanding of a large range of relevant issues and to build networks with industry and institutions in both countries. This programme will strengthen students' understanding of Russia and the Russian High North and enable them to operate with confidence in a complex environment.
The programme consists of 6 unique modules. Each module must be passed in order to receive the degree. Different forms of evaluation are used: papers, casework, presentations and school exams. A master's thesis will end the programme, but will be on the agenda throughout to ensure ample time for supervision and planning. 6 sessions (lasting between 7-9 days including travel) will be arranged. The workload of each session will be equivalent with 10 ECTS-credits (totalling 60 ECTS) with the master's thesis equivalent to 30 ECTS. The whole programme will result in 90 ECTS-credits.
The programme starts in March 2010 and ends in June 2011.
