The year of 2006 saw a rapid development of IT-consulting in Russia. Insufficient automatization of many Russian enterprises and organisations is the main reason for this phenomena. As long as more Russian companies aim at IPO and attraction of investments, financial consulting and appraisal services have become more popular than ever. Also management consultancy aimed at better transparency and efficiency are in high demand. One of the recent trends is that more Russian consultancy companies no longer focus on one specific type of consultancy, but offer a wide range of services. This is to meet the requirements of the customers who often prefer "one-stop-purchase", reports Expert Agency referring to Discovery Research Group. Among other trends one should mention increase of customers in the small and medium-sized business, expansion of consultancy companies from metropoloies to the regions as well as heavy involvement of international consultancy companies in Russia.
