The Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established by Norwegian and Russian business circles in Oslo on 20 October 2003. Members include major Norwegian and Russian companies such as Statoil, Jotun, DNV GL, Lukoil Overseas North Shelf, RN Nordic Oil as well as central business organizations such as the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO), GIEK, Innovation Norway, universities and SMEs. Russian companies are also members of Board of Directors of the NRCC. The working language of the Chamber is English, which is used both for official correspondance and networking meetings.
Since the establishment of the association, NRCC has developed close cooperation with the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, centrally as well as in regional Russia. The CCIs of Russia have about 170 regional offices and more than 50 000 members. Our outreach to Russian companies in the Russian market is thus extraordinary and quite unique.
NRCC is an NGO mainly financed by various types of membership. In 2017, the NRCC signed a new three-year Program Agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway with the aim of strengthening business relations between Norway and Russia.

The NRCC is the leading Norwegian-Russian Business Network.

Aim

The aim of the NRCC is to stimulate and improve business relations between Norwegian and Russian companies regarding import, export, shipping, business development, tourism or investment activities. In addition, the Chamber aims to enhance the understanding of each others' business culture, market developments and other socio-economic developments of importance.

Members

As of today, the Chamber has about 130 members representing various sectors. It is a pleasure for us to see a growing interest from Russian companies joining the Chamber. A list of the NRCC Members can be found under "Members". The expanded list is only available for the NRCC Members.

Management

Both the NRCC Board and the NRCC Administration consist of people with vast experience from Norwegian-Russian trade relations. More information can be found under "About NRCC Employees", "About NRCC Board" and "About NRCC Council".

Activities

The Chamber presently offers regular networking events, newsletters, seminars, courses, business delegations, as well as social, cultural and various ad-hoc arrangements. More information can be found under "Events".

Kristel Mari Jæger Skorge

Kristel Mari Jæger Skorge is the Director of the Department of Research Administration in the University of Oslo. Central tasks of the department are related to external funding of research and innovation, follow-up of the University's institutional and international cooperation partners and agreements, research ethics, Doctoral degree and PhD, Research infrastructure, Open science, Innovation and entrepreneurship in research and among students.
Kristel Skorge has an extensive management experience from university and other public sector organisations and is an experienced board member and research manager.
Previously, she held positions of Head of Research & Development at the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Directorate, and prior to that she served as Head of Institute of Public Administration and Associate Professor at Oslo Metropolitan University.
She holds a Dr.art degree from the University of Bergen (Norway) and Master of Public Administration degree from Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Denmark.

 

Trond Karlsen

Trond Karlsen has been working at ScaleAQ since September 2018. ScaleAQ is a Norwegian based company, providing high-quality solutions and services for the fish farming industry world-wide. ScaleAQ has 27 offices in 11 countries, and 900 employees in the group. Karlsen is Sales Director for Emerging Markets, which includes the Russian aquaculture industry.
He is educated from the Norwegian Armed Forces and BI Norwegian School of Management, specializing in internationalization and management.

Before he joined the aquaculture industry, Karlsen's background is from the FMCG segment. He has been working for brand leadership companies like REMA 1000, Bacardi spirits, Apple, Coca-Cola and 7-Eleven.

 

Gaute A. Sletten

Regional Compliance Officer, Equinor in Russia

Gaute Sletten 190 260Gaute Sletten is currently the regional compliance officer for Equinor in Russia. He is an experienced legal counsel with a demonstrated history of working in private practice and the oil & gas industry. In Equinor, he has been involved in most areas of the group’s business, including the Norwegian Continental Shelf, international projects and procurement, arbitration, international exploration, transactions, research & development, privacy, and business ethics and compliance. He joined Equinor in 2011 with experience from lawfirms Wiersholm and Haavind, Regjeringsadvokaten and the European Commission (DG Competition).

Marit Hiim Haugseth

Project Manager - Norwegian Fishermen's Association

Marit Hiim Haugseth  started at her position at the Norwegian Fishermen's Association in August 2016.

Marit Hiim Haugseth works with cooperation with Russian fishing organizations in Murmansk. 

Before joining the Norwegian Fishermen's Association, Marit worked as a municipal manager and office manager at the municipality of Sør-Varanger. There she was  responsible for all international cooperation.

The main purpose of the association is to develop cooperation and dialogue between the industries on both sides of the border.

Mrs Haugseth holds Master in Russian Studies.

 

Hans Ove Holmøy

Hans Ove Holmy colorSince 1996 Hans Ove Holmøy is a Skipsteknisk's Managing Director. 

Skipsteknisk AS designs specialized vessels with emphasis on offshore research and fisheries. ST Group consists also of electrical service company Skan-El AS and branch offices in Turkey and China.

For the last 12 years Mr. Hans Ove Holmøy is directly involved in Skipsteknisk's work with the Russian fishing industry.

He speaks Norwegian, English and basic German. 

Mr. Holmøy holds a B.Sc degree from the Møre og Romsdal Technical College of Naval Architecture, Norway. 

Hans Christian Dall Nygård

CEO, Kirkenes fondsforvaltning

Hans Chr. Dall Nygård has been living in Russia since 1995, and has been responsible for several Russia-focused Private Equity investment funds within the listed investment group CapMan plc. He has raised capital from investors like EBRD, IFC, DEG, FMO, GIMV, DNB, Nordea, Ilmarinen, Varma etc. The funds have invested into more than 45 companies in various sectors in Russia. Most of the companies have been successfully exited.

In 2019, he established Kirkenes Fondsforvaltning AS, which is managing the State Investment Fund for North West Russia and Eastern Europe.

He holds an executive MBA from Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH).
