The Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce is organised as an association based on membership. The member fee covers the costs in connection with implementation of the various activities offered to the NRCC members.

Membership conditions

Membership in the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce is open to companies, which are registered in Norway or in Russia and are involved in or intend to become involved in bilateral Norwegian-Russian trade or projects. Also non-commercial organisations and institutions can become members of the NRCC, as well as individuals with a personal interest in the respective markets.

To apply for membership, fill in an application form on our website focusing on your company's engagement in Norway or in Russia accordingly and services you wish to offer. In case of positive decision on your membership, this content will be added to the Member Directory of the NRCC and used for promotional purposes to various organisations, institutions, companies and authorities both in the Russian Federation and in Norway.

Approval of new members

All membership applications are considered by the NRCC Board which may approve or reject those. The decision is forwarded to the applicant. In case of positive decision, you will receive an information package and an invoice stipulating your annual membership fee. The fee shall be paid in full within two weeks after the receipt of the invoice.

Cancellation of membership

To ensure the stable flow of activities and offers for the members, NRCC Membership is valid on a calendar year basis with automatic renewal every new calendar year.

In order to cancel the NRCC membership, you have to send a cancellation notice to the NRCC administration by e-mail or regular post before October 1 of the current calendar year. The cancellation will then be put in effect from the 1st of January of the next calendar year.

With later notification, your membership will be automatically renewed for the coming year, and cancellation effectuated only by the end of the coming year.

Fees 2022

The NRCC BoD has set the following membership fee categories for membership in the NRCC for the year of 2022.

For company members, the below fee categories are based on a company’s turnover.

If a company member belongs to a group of companies, the fee will be based on a consolidated turnover of the group. For companies with domestic parent company, the fee is based on group’s consolidated turnover. For Norwegian companies with non-Norwegian parent company, the fee is based on the turnover of the Norwegian company (and its subsidiaries). The above applies vice versa for Russian companies.

If a company member belongs to a group of companies, the Board may accept to set the membership fee based on the isolated turnover of a such company member if the company’s business activities fall outside core/main business activities of the other companies in the group.

Please note that the membership fee is valid for a calendar year, i.e. from the date of the Board's approval of the membership and until 31 December of the same year.

All other conditions about cancellation and renewal apply in full.
